Param Sundari is a Hindi romantic comedy directed by Tushar Jalota, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. The story follows Param, a wealthy guy from Delhi, who uses a matchmaking app to find love. That leads him to Sundari, a girl from Kerala. The film leans into a north-meets-south culture clash, with all the expected color, family expectations, and romantic mishaps.
What Works
The movie looks good. Kerala makes for a beautiful setting — backwaters, temples, traditional architecture — and those visuals are a strong point. The music by Sachin-Jigar gives some nice moments: catchy songs, pleasant background score, enough to lift parts of the film. Janhvi Kapoor, in particular, brings warmth in her portrayal of Sundari. Even if her accent isn’t perfect, the effort shows and certain scenes feel genuine. The second half dawdles, especially when tying up family issues or character arcs. The script could have used tighter dialogue, more emotional stakes.
